How to read results
ChainTrace fetches a public URL with a clearly labeled educational user-agent, follows Location redirects (max 10 hops), and peeks HTML for rel=canonical. It does not log in, execute page JavaScript, or crawl your whole site.
Overall badge
- ok — No loop; no failing findings.
- review — Warnings (long chain, host flips, canonical mismatch, soft final status).
- issues — Loop or failing final/status findings.
Hop table
Each row is one request: status, timing (ms), URL, optional next Location, and any canonical seen on that HTML response.

Reports use opaque high-entropy IDs at /r/:id. There is no public list of reports. Common secret-looking query parameters are redacted in stored URLs.
